Architectural building plans only show in 2D. They usually don’t provide enough detail to efficiently guide the fabricator through all of the steps in the fabrication process. 3D modeling solves this confusion by keeping track of the design right down the smallest detail. Our 3D modeling software is not just for fancy drawings. It is also the core of our CNC cutting and forming operations. It writes the files that tell or machines how to cut and form metal.
Once your project is modeled in 3D using SolidWorks, we produce shop drawing pages that allow the customer to approve the design. We then purchase material and begin fabrication.

Shop Drawings & CNC Programming
Shop Drawings are typically provided to you for review and approval before fabrication begins. DenverWeld Shop Drawings give our customers an excellent opportunity to confirm the design meets your requirements and specifications.
After our customers approve shop drawings for fabrication, part files are created from the 3D model. Material is ordered and the CNC plasma cutter and CNC press brake are programmed to do the job.
